...2010? beautiful! Nightlife took a whole new turn and evolved into a new realm in South Africa. The festivals, clubs, djs, parties... everything! It all just got MASSIVE!

Talent.. dem boys and girls who stay up late and party for their rent. Some would say the working class! Doing their uppermost best making sure your body remains grinding. Without them, the best music would still remain hidden...unknown.. LOST on some. blog ;)

Brick City has always been about finding and exposing new up and coming talent. We have seen the likes of EL GORDO, STONE-AGE CITIZENS, DAS KAPITAL, TOTEM, DYNAMO and others have their first gig at one of our parties. They're all BLAZZING good djs! BUT... we know there are more of you our there.

It that time again where we at the BC HQ knock our heads against the wall and try figure out a once off special event. Well, with a few bumps and bruises we came up with a very special concept for a one night show.

The idea is that we are paying some much need respect to some artists that stand out to us. The guys who may have not received the most votes, but the guys who truly know what they are doing in terms of music selection and production.
//
Its going to be a once off genre battle between the djs who will be representing their flavors within a time space of an hour and a half.
Line up as follows:

We received a record number of votes. Just under 700 to be precise and due to rules and regulations of BC we had to unfortunately disqualify one artist who came in our top 3.

Reason being is that we can only by law accept and publish talent over the legal age of 18.

Is it just me or is this Cape Town weather really F%&#ed up?? New strains of flu are being recorded and sending people home early from work. Outdoor festivals are amazingly rad then totally not as the wind picks your tent up and blows it 2km down south to no mans land. Things are just beyond me at this point and I want answers.

Alas, there is the internet and talent that weather cannot change. These two things are very, very important to us at Brick City. The mixture of human skill and techno-lo-gy... making the ultimate human being appealing to young girls and boys on weekend at early hours of the morning. This is what we strive for. An never ending quest to fulfill the young hearts and souls of the dancefloor.
