As promised, we at BC said after the last event we would do a post on the 6 winners who played. We had to wait sometime before the right information dropped into our inbox, but now we can. Below are the personal word of the boys in no particular order. This is what they have to say about themselves.

Jason started exploring nightlife from the young age of 13 at the local U18 parties in his town. By the age of 16 he was planning and throwing his own parties. He always had an interest in what the DJ's were doing during the sets and it was only a matter of time before he found himself behind the decks. He has held his own next to some of the country's top acts such as Locnville; Dirty Skirts; Roger Goode; Pascal & Pearce; Nick Supply; Mini K; Kosta K; Ryan Murgatroyd; Chris Jack; Gio Ricca; Dean FUEL and lots more. Now at the young age of 19 he has become the resident DJ for Ivy League's student night and is taking the Cape Town by storm.

Shaun started playing about 3years ago, messing around on a friends cdjs, then got a midi of his own and carried on from there! Being a BIG fan of Drum n Bass since a young age, Shaun dabbled in various styles of music. It was in London where he got to see a real variety of electronic musicians which from then on kept him hooked to this day. Dynamo plays music with a lot of sub bass, genres such as: Dubstep, Drum n Bass & Bassline. Watch this space...

George is a South African born disc jockey and producer who has become renowned for his explosive drum n bass, breakbeat and dubstep shows. He has been playing at clubs and festivals from the illegal, young age of 13, thus spanning his career just over 13 years. From playing commercial clubs to the most underground of venues, he has done it all. This has granted him the ability to cater for any crowd. What drives this man is his absolute passion for music. George worked exclusively as a DJ until 2010, when he began working in his home studio as a producer. He is in the process of recording and producing his first album which is due for release December 2010 (hopefully sooner).
Even though he has played commercial venues like Cubaña, News Café, FTV etc, his love and passion is most definitely drum n bass, breaks and dubstep. This is what he produces, this is his life. You can ask anyone that has seen him live at venues like Assembly, Fiction, Mystic Boer, Carnival Court or Waiting Room that when he touches those decks, magic happens.
The music he plays is never too serious and always has a comical/feel good/fun way about it. He uses influences of funk, swing, rock, disco, big band, reggae and jazz mashed up in his sets.
Be on the lookout for George Daniel, ‘cos when you hear it, you’ll want it!

The Warriors locked themselves into their video scanner and gazed through the universe… until they came upon dimension 5.
Dimension 5 was now in the hands of the overmaster whose lust for ultimate power had become an obsession. Religion and the media were all under his control and computer files were kept on all-known living persons within the city zones.
Many were arrested and jailed.
It was therefore significant that Stone-age Citizens represented a freedom for so many, yet to those involved at the time it was a series of events, the outcome of which no one could have foreseen. The plan was simple. By knocking out the alarm systems in a riot, they then would cause an explosion which would blow half the cell blocks away. Outside help cam from an organisation known as phonographic's, who if the plan was successful would eventually capitalise on the whole project.
The night of the jailbreak all hell broke loose. A red alert was issued by the overmaster himself. Robot trackers, military police dogs and all available vehicles were on the hunt. All were caught, except two, who made it to the buildings on the South side of the city. It was in these buildings that they broadcast and recorded selected material, some of which still survives today. Through these recordings, they built up a following who eventually took to the streets in what was to become the final war.
The warriors had become weary and disillusioned with war, but seeing how the people struggled to be free, they knew once again they must raise up their synths…
The music sailed out into the night then upward towards the skies, traveling on that thin border between reality and imagination.

\\Das Kapital//
The important part about Das Kapital is that he makea and play tracks for people to enjoy. He can never stick to any one genre, especially not when there's so much good music out there and when people just aren't hearing it. It's all about playing off the crowd's emotions to take them on a ride they won't forget. Das says he does his up most best to keep his electro sets filthy, theatrical and surprising.

Inspired by his guru/cousin trance heavy-weight Plus-Minus, Josh ventured into the DJ-ing world playing a wide variety of music to try find his niche. The genre which really stuck out for him was Drum & Bass and the SA local artists ;Niskerone, Hyphen, B-wise, Mysterion, Kamashe and Counterstrike.The all made for something to aspire to for Josh. Josh has played from Claremont to Mercury and now to Brick City and he looks to share his passion of Drum & Bass with you.
